Eat these 5 Superfoods For Nourished, Healthy Hair.

Nourishing your locks is the key to healthy hair. 

That goes for the products you use on your hair every day, but more importantly the food you eat. You know that beauty starts within, but did you know the beachy waves you see in the mirror today stem from the foods you’ve been eating for the past 6 months?

The foods you eat today become the foundations for new hair growth, so here are five foods to include to make sure those locks develop healthy and nourished tomorrow. 

1.   Broccoli and dark leafy greens

These little sprouts are superstars and dark leafy greens are their cheer squad. Broccoli, spinach, and kale are full of split-end fighting vitamin C and hair strengthening calcium. The vitamin A found in broccoli helps your body produce sebum, a natural oil that moisturizes new skin and keeps hair shining bright. 

 2.    Almonds 

A handful of natural almonds goes a low way towards smooth tresses. Almonds are high in magnesium, a mineral essential for the production of heavenly hair. Vitamin E protects hair against damaging free radicals and biotin encourages the growth of damage resistant hair, skin and nails. 

3. Wild Caught Salmon

For hair that is so shiny and hydrated it’s mermaid-worthy. Add a few slices of wild-caught salmon to your favourite green salad. The essential fatty acids will moisturise your scalp and add lustre to your hair. Protein and vitamin D help create healthy hair that’s glossy straight from the roots. 

4.    Eggs

For strong, long, healthy hair on the inside and the outside. Eggs are protein-rich powerhouses that contain zinc, iron and biotin, all necessary for the growth of healthy, glorious manes. Have them poached for breakfast or get creative and whip up a hair repair mask using 2 raw eggs and 1 tablespoon of honey. Rinse in the shower after 30 minutes to reveal naturally scrumptious hair. 

5.    Sunflower Seeds

 Sunflower seeds are harvested from the bright, full heads of yellow sunflowers and make delicious snacks by themselves or sprinkled on top of salads or soup. Rich in nutrition, these little guys are a natural source of energy giving b vitamins. Immune boosting zinc heals the scalp and fills new hair with volume and life.
